July seems to be a busy, crazy month for me more years than not. Last year and this year I attended my organization's annual conference and moved. Er, am moving. Tomorrow. And that's why I'm on here now. Who knows how long it will take me to get settled in enough and be back to blogging.
July 2010 found me covering a lot of U.S. ground. This month I've been to Arkansas, Tennessee, Illionis, Michigan, Virginia (giveaway), Maryland (another giveaway), Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, New York, New Jersey and Delaware. Phew. Granted some of that was just driving or riding through. Technically been to each this month though. :)
Another busy July was back in 2007 when I quit my government job to explore the option of pursuing photography and to backpack around Europe for a month. I'd saved up a decent amount of money to fund my month of traveling and my living expenses for when I returned and looked for a new job. That money also ended up funding a trip home when my grandma passed away in late June. I changed my ticket back to DC twice to spend more time with my family back in Hawai'i.
I attempted to blog about my backpacking experience and came up with "Nomadic Noe's Narrative(s)" as my blog. If you like stories, specifically my stories, feel free to explore my posts. And of course, my gallery with selected pictures of the trip; I just added more to it tonight!
While I love to travel and be on the move, it can be tiring. I'm really looking forward to getting all moved and settling in for a bit. Guess I'm not quite the nomad I once thought I was after all.
