Always the bridesmaid, never the bride. That saying doesn't apply to me. That's because I like to play the role of behind the scenes photographer and helpful friend at many weddings. Now when I am not the hired photographer, I do my best to respect the paid photographer and stay the heck out of his or her way.
At Lilly and Jason's wedding, the hired photographers were awaiting the bridal party's arrival at the church, which meant that Milli and I had full artistic liberty, and maybe some obligation, to document the entire getting ready process at the hotel. We took several pictures on multiple cameras, and I'd be lying if I told you that I can tell which photographs are mine from the whole lot without some detective work. Ahem, seeing myself or Milli in a shot. ;)
It was a beautiful wedding, and I'm really glad that I was able to be there for it and even take some shots. Always a pleasure to shoot people who are beautiful, inside and out. You might notice that most of the pictures are of the ladies. That's because when we were around the fellas so were the fabulous hired photographers, Liga. Respect. :)
